A British-Israeli soldier has been confirmed dead in the Hamas attacks on 7 October. Yosef Guedalia, 22, was serving in an anti-terror unit and was killed when he encountered gunmen while they attacked Kibbutz Kfar Aza.
It brings the number of Britons known to have been killed by Hamas to 11, with one kidnapped and at least four missing.
It comes as the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza has reported that the number of people killed in Gaza since 7 October has now risen to 5,087.
Elsewhere, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said that the UK will provide an additional £20million of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, doubling the funding previously available.
